Happy Halloween!

This year, we didn't make it to the pumpkin patch that we usually go to , but we did run down the street to buy a couple of pumpkins to carve. They gave the kids their own little pumpkins, so they each had their own to carve. We also went to the Fall Festival at Fisher's school, and were excited that Lolo and Poppypaw came with us! Dad's surgery was really a success, as he wouldn't have even considered going a couple of months ago - it would have been way too hard. He did tire out quickly, but it was nice having them come to the first school function. The kids played lots of games and wore their costumes. Lots of fun! We have two parties to go to tomorrow, so it should be a fun Halloween night!! :)

I drew on the face and got the saw initially poked in on all the pieces, but he did the rest. He loves those little pumpkin saws...

Fisher had his first school party today (and his first field trip!). I knew they had a party today, because it was on his calendar for the 6 weeks, but it never occurred to me to make treat bags until his teacher sent home a note TWO days ago! I was just finishing up the gift I made for the birthday party tomorrow, so I hurried up to make 40 finger puppets yesterday. I was proud of my first treat bags. Next time, I'll start two weeks early. Oh - and since I already had the felt, the ziplocks, and the paper (and I bought the candy with coupons!) the total cost for 20 treat bags?? About $3.50 - yay, frugal mommy!! lol
