Christmas card outtakes

Here are some shots that didn't make the cut for this years Christmas card. I'm so fortunate to live in the digital age!

After some goofing off time, they finally settled down and cooperated a little.
Mr. Handsome model pose.

And one is all it takes. :)

Family photos

I was trying to get a picture of Gracie in her cute little dress.
Fisher wanted his picture taken instead.

Maybe that's the key to getting his picture. Tell him you don't want him in it. Hmmmm.........

Thanks, Kerry, for taking these pics. I love them!

Build it up, to knock it down. Now that's fun. :)

A visit with the real Santa

Tracy and I took the kids to the mall to sit on Santa's lap (the kids, not Tracy and I - haha). What a handsome Santa he was too. Fisher had no problems hopping right up and describing (probably in great detail) what was on his wish list. Gracie was a little nervous and unsure, but having her big brother there made it tolerable.

She's a little nervous here........

Look at his hands - he's probably saying "The army jeep with the doors and hood that open like this........."

Hey - this Santa guy isn't so scary after all - now where is my candy cane?

If you noticed the title of my post, this will explain why I said the "real Santa". About a week after this, Tracy and I were in Walgreens with the kids. I had a small list, so she walked around the store with the kids. The employees were dressed up and taking free Santa pictures for the kids. Tracy got their picture made, and afterwards, Fisher told Santa that he wasn't the real Santa. We already saw the real Santa at the mall. You're just an old man in a Santa suit trying to fool me. Ugh!!! I later found out from mom that this was a line in the movie "Elf". She was telling Linda P. about what he said, and she asked if he had ever seen the movie, because that was a line from it. Now, he has seen the movie at mom's house, but it has been months ago (as far as I know). How he remembers things like that, and then applies it to real life situations, is beyond me. I think I'm just glad that he did it with Tracy, and not me!!!

Misc. pics

Turkeys for Thanksgiving - I'm pretty sure they're still on the fridge.

Not another Halloween photo, he likes to play in his costume. But I think this one came out better than any of the Halloween photos!

Letter from Alyssa

I wanted to share a letter that I received from Alyssa. For a school project, she had to choose someone that she was thankful for and write them a letter. She wrote this awesome letter to Clint and me saying how she enjoyed the trips she has taken here the past two summers. She did a great job on it - very mature, I thought. I was very proud to receive it. My favorite line - "I love spending time with you peeps." Love it - lol!! :)

Storm photos

I took these shots from the front yard a couple of weeks ago. It was very warm that day, and late that afternoon, the temperature dropped. I could see clouds on my left moving to the right, and clouds on my right moving to the left. Kind of a scary combination. Fisher read my mind and said "Mommy, is it going to be a torMADO? I need to get my Daddy so we can be storm chasers." Like father, like son....

Gracie's 1st movie

Gracie is a big girl now. She got to go to the movies last month! While Kerry was in, we took the kids to see Bolt. Too bad we got there a little late, because we couldn't sit together. Fisher sat with Tracy, Gracie with me, and Kerry sat across the walkway in front of us. Lucky for us, because she took this cool shot before the movie started. Pretty good pic - especially because it was so dark that Kerry couldn't see us! Gracie was so proud to be at the movies, walking along with her very own popcorn kids combo thingy. Tracy said I have no more excuses - Gracie gets to go with us from now on - lol.

Feeding the Ducks

Tracy, Kevin and I took the kids to the park sometime last month to feed the ducks. I don't know why I haven't ever done it before. The kids loved it. There were so many ducks and geese - it was a little crazy! Tracy was literally goosed by a goose - nipped on the behind!!
Too bad I didn't get a picture of THAT! :)
